My favorite field guide to use for the following reasons; text & pictures & range maps are on facing pages, the bird illustrations are excellent, covers the entire North American continent, is compact, reasonably priced, readily available in bookstores. Can't beat it. It's the birding field guide I recommend.

The print run for BIRDS OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA by W.E. Clyde Todd was 2,500 books printed and bound, 1,000 sheets printed and stored for later binding, and 75 printed as overrun for a total of 3,575.
